Federal Aviation Administration – Multiple Projects Aggregate
This aggregation of projects is from 2011-2013 at the Leesburg, VA air traffic facility, during which Peachtree performed piping modifications and controls upgrades for the 5 existing cooling towers on site. As a separate scope within the same project, the facility required Peachtree to furnish and install 3 new vertical turbine pumps to replace the existing condenser water pumps servicing the cooling towers for the facility. Peachtree also completed boiler modernizations, installing the new boiler, and upgrading the existing DDC Controls; this allowed for a new and efficient system. Complete test and balance, and commissioning of the existing and new system were performed to complete the system requirement. During this project, Peachtree implemented project phasing in coordination with the end user, so as not to disrupt normal operations of the kitchen and heating service to the building. This project required critical path scheduling efforts and daily coordination briefings on-site with the FAA COR. The completion dates for these projects were December 7, 2011, and November 2013 for the Tower modifications.
