about the project

FAA WARRENTON HVAC UPGRADES

The FAA TRACON facility in Warrenton VA included a project that needed Peachtree Mechanical’s assistance. Through trade off best value process to the government, Peachtree was selected as the general mechanical contractor to perform this project The project included the replacement of 3 existing 500ton chillers with associated pumps and cooling towers. The project also included the installation of a redundant water supply system to the new central plant, as well as a new under-slab drain system for the entire mechanical plant. Peachtree self-performed all concrete, structural steel, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems installation on this project. During this project, critical system disruptions were scheduled to allow for a new DDC controls system and electrical upgrades to the entire facility. Upon completion of the project, the FAA requested that Peachtree upgrade their boiler plant. This work was performed under careful coordination and planning with the FAA director.
