Project Details

The scope of this project consisted of replacing the existing cooling towers, and degraded chillers inside the facility plant. The facility already had a 250-ton rental chiller onsite from one of their JOC contractors, which allowed Peachtree to completely demo the chillers and cooling towers. Peachtree self-performed all new structural footer work and concrete pad extensions for the interior and exterior portions of the chiller plant yard.

Peachtree Installed 3 new 350-ton York Mag bearing chillers and a 3 cell EVAPCO cooling tower. All new chilled water pumps and condenser water pumps and associated piping in the plant and exterior of the building at the cooling towers. Electrically, we demolished existing MCC and installed a new breaker in the main switch board to accommodate the new feeds for the MDP gear installed inside the building adjacent to the chiller room. All new variable speed drives were installed for new equipment. New standalone BAS for the chiller plant was installed and we were able to incorporate existing systems into the new DDC front end.

Commissioning by 3rd party agent MEI was performed at the end of the project.
